Hello Kitty Orchard Garden

Thank to Shaun, I was given the opportunity to visit the Hello Kitty Cafe Orchard Garden at T3 for a tasting 😍
Unlike other Hello Kitty cafes around the world, Hello Kitty Orchard Garden features a very different theme.

Over the Rainbow Salad - $18.50

Not being a salad person so I only took a few bites of this dish.
Nonetheless, I felt that the touch of feta cheese was pretty unique.

Hola Nachos (Left) - $15.90

This was so good 💯👍🏼

Similar to the Nachos we know, Hello Kitty Orchard Garden serves this dish as an appetizer.
What I like about Hello Kitty's version of Nachos is the fact that they aren't too salty.
But what made this dish, in my opinion, would be Cheese Sauce that came along with the Nachos!!

Big Breakfast Surprise (Right) - $18.50

Comprising of scrambled eggs, smoked duck slices, shiitake mushrooms and a waffle,
this is an all day brunch item that Hello Kitty serves. Overall, this was just an average dish.
In my opinion, the waffles could have been better. I honestly wouldn't pay $18.50 for this.

Enchanted Forest (Left) - $17.90

This was my favorite dish of the night. Filled with Prawns, Avocado, Caramelized Onions, Cheddar and
an interesting touch of Wasabi Sesame Mayonnaise, this dish left me craving for more.
This is a must get if you're at the Hello Kitty Cafe! #Love

Cowabunga Wagyu (Right) - $24.00

Firstly, I want to say that I love the touch of the Hello Kitty rice 😍
Although the layout might be a slightly girly for the guys, I'm pretty sure it would just
look just like any other plate of rice after mixing it up! As for the Beef, I would say that it's $24 worth.
It's wasn't the softest or the most tender but it was alright for the price of this dish.
I would get this dish for photo sake!

The Cat in Paradise - $18.50

I have nothing but love for this Mango Mousse Cake.
Even though this dessert is little pricey,
this would definitely be a good guilty pleasure treat every once in awhile.

Hide & Seek - $16.50

Camping Under the Stars - $19.50

Overall, the experience I had at the Hello Kitty Orchard Garden was a sweet one.
Even though the food is priced a litter higher than regular cafes,
I would say the ambiance and experience makes up for it.

Q1: How would you ask your crush out during vday if your a girl?
But you don't really want him to know that you like him. You just want to hang out like normal friends.

Answer: I'll just ask him "What are do you doing this Sunday? Do you want to hangout?" If you're attached or already have a date, you'll probably be looking forward to Sunday. However, if you've no plans, you might not even realize that Valentine's Day is this Sunday! As such, there's no harm trying to ask him out as he might not even realize it until later 😉 But if he does, just go along with it and say you really just wanna chill Either that or say something along those lines of friends can celebrate Valentine's Day too! 😜

Q2: What would be the best gift for two occasions:
1) A first meeting gift (for my crush)
2) A last meeting gift (for friends consists of guys and girls)

Answer: 1) I think treating him ice-cream would be cute!
Either ice-cream or something that he likes to eat.

2) For the last meeting gift, you could consider getting the guys a belt or a cap?
Depending on the style of the guy. And makeup or nail polish for the girls. That would be sweet.

Q3: What would be the most appropriate confession to a girl during Valentine's Day?

Answer: I think flowers + a picnic + a romantic dinner. Basically confess face to face. Nonetheless, isn't it kinda boring if you pop the question on Valentine's Day? In my opinion, you should confess your feelings for her on another day. Isn't it more significant that way? Honestly, Valentine's Day is too common a day.

Nobiro Japanese Restaurant & Sake Bar

If you're following me on Instagram, you would have seen me post about my visit to Nobiro, a Japanese Restaurant, few days back! If you haven't, here's your chance to find out more! Nobiro, it is a cosy restaurant located at Faber Drive. The 9 month old restaurant offers a range of authentic Japanese cuisine, bringing Japan to your tastebuds.

When it comes to Japanese Cuisine, Sakes are mandatory. Nobiro serves 2 different kinds of Sakes.
One of which was recommended and tried by Obama himself when he visited Japan!

 Dassai Junmai Daiginjou 50 (720ml) - $98
Kamotsuru Gold Tokusei Kintaku Daiginjou (180ml) - $33

For appetizers, we had the Mixed Sashimi Salad severed with Nori and the
Sakana Marine served with the Chef's special Marinade.

Sashimi Salad - $16 (Left)
Sakana Marine - $18 (Right)

Tonpei Yaki - $13

With an interesting combination of Bacon, Cabbage and Omelette, this dish will leave a unique taste.
If you're an egg lover, I would highly recommend you to try this.

Surume Ika Maruyaki - $15

Even though I'm not a huge fan of seafood, one bite of this Grilled Squid definitely made me crave for more.
Adding on to the seafood, grilled Eel was up next.

Unagi Kabayaki - $25
Sadly, I didn't manage to get a good shot of the Eel. For some reason, the photo I took was out of focus.
But regardless, it was yummy.

Nama Kaki Yonshiki - $20

Nobiro serves their fresh Oysters in 4 different ways. I personally love the fried ones 👍🏼

Wagyu Tataki - $45 (Left)

I've always been a fan of beef and this dish didn't disappoint. Totally mouth watering!

Cheese Menchi Katsu – $16 (Right)

If you're a fan of Beef and Cheese, you'll love this.
Trust me, you wouldn't want to leave this out if you're thinking about dinning at Nobiro.

Nobiro Sushi - $50

This dish comprises of Nobiro's signature selection recommended by the chef.

Overall, the experience at Nobiro was an enjoyable one. I would give it this restaurant a 7 or 8 out of 10. I've got to say that this is by far the most authentic Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. As such, even though it may be a little pricey for students, I wouldn't mind dining at Nobiro as a treat to myself every once in awhile when the occasion calls for it.
