A first date vs Exclusive dating vs A relationship

A FIRST DATE

Like its name suggest, a first date is the first time you go out with a person. For it to be considered a date, this meetup has to only consist of you and him, or you and her (if you're a guy). Depending on your style, you may or may not want to text the person for awhile before actually going out with him/her. As for me, I normally would text the person for at least 3-5 days before I'll be willing to go out on a date with him. But of course, there can be exceptions.

For a first date, going for either lunch or dinner together would be ideal . This way, both you and your date can use this opportunity to talk and get to know each other better. However, if you're not up for a long conversation, catching a movie would be another option. If you would like to know more about "First Dates", here's the (link) to a post I did awhile back!

When you're going on your first date with someone, you're going without any strings attached. This means that you and him are not together in any way, and you don't have to like him back. A first date is purely a time in which you and him get a slight glimpse of each other's personality. With that being said, it is not wrong of you to be going out on many first dates with different people. It is not wrong because you haven't chosen one to settle down with yet. As such, you might want to go out with a few guys to see which guy is the guy you're most yourself and comfortable with.

EXCLUSIVE DATING

Exclusive dating is when you and that guy/girl is at that stage of almost being together but aren't. You and your partner should already be doing couple things like holding hands or even kissing. At this point, what you feel for that special someone shouldn't just be a "like" anymore. Rather, it should slowly be progressing into something deeper, love. When you're exclusively dating someone, you and your partner would already be considered a couple by most of your friends. Therefore, you shouldn't be seeing other guys/girls and he/she shouldn't be seeing other girls/guys as well.
